Kai Ichinose is a problem child on the surface. He lives with his mother, Ichinose Reiko, in run-down neighborhood that's right by a forest. At first, Kai hates his teacher Ajino, Sousuke, but after some convincing by his mother, he agrees to study the piano with Ajino.
