The matchmaker in Don't Stay Gold and the protagonist of both Tadayoedo Shizumazu, Saredo Naki mo Sezu and its sequel, Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai. Yashiro is a sadomasochist who is unapologetic about wanting to be seen and treated obscenely. Admittedly, he is a lonely existence who uses a cheerful facade to hide a past of physical and sexual abuse experienced as a child. He feels no inclination to fix his emotional detachment with people despite knowing it keeps him from connecting with others.



After graduating high school, Yashiro becomes the young leader of Shinseikai - a yakuza group under Doushinkai. A new attendant and bodyguard named Doumeki is assigned to Yashiro, and a strong attraction between the two begins. Yashiro decides to distance himself in fear of becoming attached, or worse - feeling something again.
