Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) is an anime film from Studio Ghibli and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Despite being about a flying witch and a talking cat, the movie doesn't focus on magic or escapism. Instead the film is about the struggles young people go through every day: balancing bills, a career, and a social life all while trying to discover your true purpose. The focus on realism is what makes this film my favorite from Studio Ghibli.
