Keisuke Sannan (山南敬助, Sannan Keisuke), sometimes known as Keisuke Yamanami in other series, is the bespectacled captain of the Shinsengumi. Both a scholar and a ruthless tactician, he is kind and caring, albeit a bit reserved.
